These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of MoonHost, a Minecraft server hosting service operated by the MoonHost team (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
MoonHost provides on-demand Minecraft server hosting on AWS infrastructure. Servers automatically stop when idle to keep things efficient, and persist your world data on encrypted block storage between sessions. We support Paper, Spigot, Forge, Fabric, and other community server types via our plugin and modpack installers. The service is currently free during the open beta.
You agree not to use MoonHost to:
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, with or without notice depending on severity.
Minecraft is a product of Mojang Studios (Microsoft). MoonHost is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Mojang or Microsoft. By running a Minecraft server on MoonHost you also agree to Mojang’s End-User License Agreement. You confirm acceptance of the Mojang EULA inside MoonHost before any server can be started.
MoonHost is currently in open beta and free to use. No card on file, no charges. If we introduce paid plans in the future, we’ll notify all customers in advance and update these Terms.
You retain ownership of your worlds, plugins, configs, and any other files you upload. You grant MoonHost the limited rights needed to host, back up, and serve your content as part of providing the service. We do not access your content except where required to operate the service, comply with the law, or investigate suspected abuse.
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uptime. Maintenance, hardware failures, AWS regional events, and third-party outages can cause downtime. We do not credit or refund for routine downtime.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MoonHost is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 30 days before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $20.
You may close your account at any time from the Account page. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, suspected abuse, or if required by law. On termination, your data is removed per Section 7.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we’ll let you know by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
