Data Deletion Instructions

You can delete your MoonHost account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how, what gets deleted, and how long the process takes.

Option 1 — Delete from your account page (recommended)

  1. Sign in at moonhost.pro/sign-in.
  2. Open Account.
  3. Scroll to the Danger zone section.
  4. Click Delete account and confirm.

Account deletion is immediate and irreversible. You’ll be signed out straight after and any subsequent sign-in attempt will fail.

Option 2 — Email us

If you can’t sign in (for example, you no longer have access to the email or social account you signed up with), email support@moonhost.pro from any address you can prove ownership of, with the subject “Delete my MoonHost account”.

Include any identifying details you can — the email address linked to the account, the social provider you used to sign in (Google / Facebook / Discord), or your server name. We’ll verify ownership and process deletion within 30 days, though typically same-day.

What gets deleted

  • Your account — Cognito user, all sign-in methods (native password and any linked Google/Facebook/Discord identity).
  • Your servers — every Minecraft server you own is deleted from our control panel and the underlying world data is wiped from the host.
  • Your sharing relationships — if you were a co-owner on someone else’s server, you’re removed from the list. The server itself stays with its primary owner.
  • Your DNS records — your *.moonhost.pro connect addresses are removed from our zone.
  • Your profile — name, pronouns, country, mailing preferences.

What might be retained

We aim to delete everything, but a few categories of data persist briefly for operational and legal reasons:

  • Backups — your daily server snapshot may persist in our backup system for up to 7 days before lifecycle expiration removes it.
  • Anonymised logs — request logs (without your email or sub) are retained for up to 7 days for security and abuse investigation.

None of the retained data is used to identify you after deletion; we keep only what’s already in short-lived caches that age out.

Federated sign-in note

If you signed in with Google, Facebook, or Discord, deleting your MoonHost account removes our copy of your data — but it does NOT revoke our app’s permissions on the social provider’s side. To do that, also visit:
